UK employees have a set of statutory rights when a job ends, governed by the Employment Rights Act 1996 and the Working Time Regulations 1998. If you have two years' service and are made redundant, you're owed statutory redundancy pay β age-banded weeks of pay capped at 20 years and a statutory weekly limit (Β£751 from April 2026).
Separately, your employer must give statutory notice (up to 12 weeks), and any accrued but untaken holiday must be paid out when you leave. Use the calculators below to estimate each β figures for England, Wales and Scotland.
