Qatar's end-of-service gratuity is governed by the Qatar Labour Law (Article 54) and is one of the simplest formulas in the Gulf: a flat statutory minimum of three weeks' (21 days') basic wage for every completed year of service, once an employee has worked at least one year.
The entitlement doesn't change based on how the job ends — resignation and termination pay the same gratuity once the one-year threshold is passed — and it's calculated on basic wage only, excluding allowances. A contract can offer more than the statutory minimum, but never less.
