Saudi Arabia's end-of-service benefit (ESB) is set by the Saudi Labour Law and administered via the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) / Qiwa platform. Employees earn half a month's wage for each of their first five years and a full month's wage for every year after, calculated on the last wage including regular allowances — a broader base than the UAE's basic-only rule.
Unlike the UAE, how your employment ends matters here. Employer termination always pays the full award, but resignation is reduced on a sliding scale: nothing under two years, one-third for two to five years, two-thirds for five to ten years, and the full amount once you pass ten years of service.
